Persons wishing to pursue a career as a certified athletic trainer must graduate from an approved education program by the Commission on Accreditation in Athletic Training Education (CAATE).  Graduation from an accredited education program qualifies the individual to take the Board of Certification exam, and qualify for an athletic training license in most states.  The state of Iowa has 6 accredited professional masters level athletic training programs.  Link below for more information on the athletic training education program at any of these institutions.
